This is really an amazing shot. There's just something about nature that gives it a whole different feel that modern and city life photography can't capture.

I like how the foreground issharpened with the slightly blurred background. It is like an ocean of trees at the far bottom.

Oh I agree, being out there in that landscape is really amazing and it almost takes you away from the rigid architecture of city life. Not that I've lived in a city for about two years now--we live in the middle of nowhere these days--but I grew up in several, and I wouldn't trade these shots for that life, no matter how inconvenient some things get. It's just way too beautiful up there. A whole other plane of existence.

Ocean of trees indeed! I can't wait until fall. I want to go back and take a picture of the color changes. On the roads that aren't evergreen, I mean.

Fall is one of the best times for the beauty of trees, and I don't use the word beauty too much.

I know what you mean. I live in a farm town. It's a nice thing to wake up to a full landscape of forest as the sunrises.

Sadly they're trying to tear it down for McDonalds and crap that we don't need.

Oh yes, I can't wait! It'll be really great, I hope I get some good shots out of it.

The landscapes around you sound gorgeous, too. We live in a desert valley and until you hit the mountains (which surround us), it's pretty flat. It makes for amazing sunrises/sunsets. I hope to upload some of those soon, too.

Ack. Boo McDonalds! I hate it when people do that. We don't have enough open landscape as it is, anymore, because people keep building on it.

Oh a desert? That sounds pretty interesting! I would like to see such landscapes as that. We don't have anything like that where I live, although I've always wanted to visit one someday.

Ooh I shall have to find a decent shot, then! We have shrubbery and things like that around, mostly. And lots and lots of farms (fed by a sprinkler system, which comes from a canal that feeds the whole valley). It's really pretty!

Actually, mind if I watch you? You're very nice to talk to. *does*

It sure does sound amazing! One day I hope to visit a desert, just for the experience.

Oh truly! I found it just as beautiful as seeing the ocean, oddly. And it's different kind of heat, too. I mean, very dry. I find I drink gallons out here sometimes.

So I've heard. I know a lot of people from the West who come over here can't stand the humidity. It kind of surprised me since I thought they would be used to it.

Though like you said, it's different heat. You get used to it though, especially when you start reenacting in wool with 100F humidity weather.

Nah, unless they're in an area by water, they probably wouldn't be. I was used to it growing up (spent a lot of time on the east coast), but then I moved here. lol! When I first got here, it was awful. I felt like a prune. xD
