Description
The fire, passion and elegance of flamenco. Finally i finished that piece! Due to the fact that i usually paint with watercolours i got a real sense of the difference between painting with oil or with water.^^ It's "a horse of a different colour"- that idiom says it all...inspired by a picture on pinterest- i couldn't find out the source.
oil painting, 40cm x 40cm

Thank you very much! I just tried to paint within my own borders this time. Sometimes it's better not to want more than you are able to do.^^

Thank you. Due to the fact that the dancer fill up the whole canvas there wasn't much room for a detailed background or something. Kept it simple then.

That maybe true but it still turned out very nice and I liked how bright the red is so it still looks grate in my book.

Wow.
First, the color is gorgeous. What attract my attention first is how the color is much brighter and rich than previous arts you create.
Second, the pose and the dress movement makes this painting looks dynamic and lively. The expression is also well painted.
Third, the background increase something... what's the word? Impact? Well, the background support the main object of the painting and makes the dancer's movement looks more fluid (although its not really moving, I hope you know what I mean).
Conclusion: This is great.
