I never understood why spy or sniper is considered support. They are literally acting all alone, and all the job they have, is to kill. How is that considered support?

Well if you think about it, Spy's job is to sap sentry's and make sure medic's don't pop uber.
Sniper does the same, except at a distance.

True dat. Snipers are, in a way, supports. Supports often stay in the back to be effective, though Spy has to be close (at the back) to be effective.
