Oh, and if you want an anime with realistic medieval fighting, there is Maria the Virgin witch, it's set during the 100 years war and the battles are realistic looking, no jumps or swimming.

I actually don't like anime that much either. Dialogue is usually cringy.
But Skallagrim was quite complimentary on the weapons and fighting styles. He's pretty awesome if you like historical arms and armor HEMA
