Okay, I like this one. It's sort of how I feel towards my friends right now. You see, I'm going to Texas for a few months, and I feel terrible for deserting them. Just TRY telling someone that in public, though, and no one will believe you. So I've also got a rather large obsession with musicals and now that I've finally seen Across the Universe I can start making obscene references to it every day. While mucking about online I found this song stuck in my head- what was it? Ah, "All My Loving." I simply adore this song. Now, I'm the kind of person who makes a lot of connections in my head while not doing much of anything else, so I found myself picturing in my head a rather typical scene of me with my friends- someone lost his or her balance on the couch and ends up using my extra squishy lap (NOT) as a pillow. I will then proceed to play with this persons hair and talk sweetly to them until they feel the need to get up. It's something I like to do and people generally put up with it. Now, in this little fantasy I start singing this song to the person whose head is occupying my lap. It displayed to me exactly EVERYTHING I wanted to say to all of my friends and sort-of love interests before I leave, but I don't think any more than two of them would understand what the hell I was talking about.
This image was just so strong in my head that I felt compelled to draw it on whatever was closest to me -with- whatever was closest to me. Therefore it became a sketch in someone else's notebook with a deranged pen that should be eaten by veloceraptors, shat out, and then burned. I hate this mother fucking pen, but it's the only writing implement that I can see in this room, which I find to be a SERIOUS PROBLEM.
Anyway, I like this picture, and you should to. Sketching is fun and more people should do it.
