Description After a tour of this insane floating “man cave,” Quinton (who actually said to me, “But, like I always tell Bea here, you can call me ‘Q-dog’ or ‘Qude’ which is short for ‘Q Dude.’”) showed us to our guest bedroom which was absolutely gorgeous. “And absolutely soundproof,” he added with a gross wink.

He pointed out a tray of freshly cooked seafood dishes in case we were hungry (he and his pornstar girlfriend? escort? had already eaten) and also a special feature of the room, a shiny acoustic guitar that he had provided just for Triz’s comfort. That stumped me.

“Do you even play guitar?” I asked her.

“Yes, I do,” she said, kind of stunned.

“I had no idea!”

“Because I haven’t told anybody,” Triz said and looked quizzically at her boss.

Nash just shrugged and grinned, “I like to know everything about my favorite employees. Please, enjoy it; it’s a gift.”

Triz smiled weakly and Quinton took his leave inviting us to the yacht’s movie theater in an hour for the evening movie.

We ate the delicious food, chatted in low tones (Quinton Nash wouldn’t stoop to bugging his guests, would he?) about our host’s creeper vibe, and then met Nash and Randee Rhyder in the screening room.

That was fun! Not just because there was popcorn (with real butter!), but also because I got to watch a billionaire pout his way through a movie he didn’t want to watch. Apparently it was Randee’s turn to pick and she chose - surprisingly - the Academy Award nominated Autumn of My Sweet Agony; the amazing Melanie Denberg’s last role before all of her troubles.

“What the hell, Randee?”

“It’s my pick and my acting coach says I should study Melanie’s choices.”

“Ugh. This should be fun.”

Nash might’ve been grumpy, but Triz and I were okay with it, mainly because it was a movie we had both wanted to see and also because it wasn’t one of Randee’s.

Later that night, after we got back to our room, I exited the shower and caught Triz playing something on her gifted guitar. It was kind of Latin and kind of sad and very beautiful. Just like her.
