Well, if there’s one thing that would be handy in an “Intro to Superheroing” course (not that one exists - ooh, could be an opening there for somebody!), it would be some sort of prep for “what to do when getting your brain fried and waking up in a supervillain’s lair.” ‘Cause this was my first time and it wasn’t pretty.

Last I knew, I had just seen my best friend (one of two) being abducted by chickbots in an old van and then ZZZZAPP! Out like a light. Now, who knows how much later, I was waking up with a terrible throbbing migraine in some sort of nerd dungeon. I was so groggy that my first thought was “I hope I didn’t drool all over myself.”

But then I felt the restraints. And I saw the powerful chickbot checking my stats. And, lastly, and worstly (word?), I saw Triz directly across from me in the same predicament. She looked terrified, and pissed off, and lost. As a friend and a hero I knew instantly I’d let her down.
