i do have the source png's for the ears and tail but not the right software in order to animate them, but i've seen it done somewhere before so it wont be thta hard

With GIMP? Save the image, change its ears/tail layer, save it again, etc. After you've made multiple images, open them as layers and save as an animated file with a .GIF extension. And GIMP is free ^_^
