I like the thought as well, the idea of Roll, with her full gynoid programming, being stuck in the robot body of a cat.
I'm not sure if there was an intended story behind this picture, but I like a mix of Mega Man needing special assistance, and they had to reconfigure Roll into this form to provide it. They fully intended to turn Roll back into her human form, but, well... considering how useful she was, they kept her like this. Just for a little while longer, they kept telling themselves.

Beat was the bird. Tango was the cat robot that was Bass's sidekick, to fulfill the role of Rush (since Bass was constructed to be Wily's answer to Megaman, a robot that could acquire abilities from enemies he defeated).

Tango was introduced in MMV as a weapon/item. She's also in MM10 when you visit the shop as Proto Man - she's sleeping on the counter.
