Description
It really has. I gave me purpose to do art. Before I could only show them off to my friends and family. Now I can show off my art to the world and seeing other artists gather makes me strive to be better. Thank you deviantart creators, moderators, beta testers, and users.Feel free to use this.

awweeesome stamp, using it :3
it not only helped me improve my shit, in so many ways like being inspired by awesome artists, having feedback, and honestly when you upload something online you're more 'self conscious' about it you know? gives you a new perspective. not to mention tutorials people share!
it also helped me a loooot with leaning english, learnt a lot about people and the innernets [read social experiments kthx], had fun with dA memes, bashing art thieves and porn, plz accounts, met awesome friends, met my frigging soul mate! dayum i owe dA so much :'3

Oh, yes, definitely. Amongst other things, dA has helped me mature not only as a person, but as an artist. I hate to think of who I would be today if it weren't for deviantART.

I still have a long way to go. I still blow up and get mad. I still make bad arguments, but I've learned being social with people on here as helped me. I'm glad that it has helped you.

I'm pretty similar, actually. I still have pretty bad anger issues, as well as other flaws, but I think the positive aspects of my personality have stemmed from online interaction and are balancing out the negative ones? But yeah, while it can be a long road, it's definitely a rewarding one.
I wish you luck for the future!

Holy Crap! Same thing with me! However my mother hates deviantart because of the name and says that it was just hard work and practice. While that's true, but when you see people who's art is better it gives you inspiration to try harder and improve.

Hey don't sweat that. Your art style will come to you eventually. You just have to keep drawing, and inspiration will come to you. I'm still trying to find my own.
