Description It seems I am back
In this place which seems to lack
Anything of worth to me
Now.
Old Memories don't seem
So amazing or precious to me
Anymore.
These Old Memories
Don't sparkle and don't shine
Like they used to
All the people I never reallyΒ Β knew
Are unchanged as ever
It's almost laughable, in a horrible,
ironic, cynical way.
But it's giving way to disappointment and dismay
Until I think I am deranged.
It's back to these Old Memories
That once dear, mean nothing really
Are unchanged by my absence.
The laughter and chatter ringing
Is like a breeze
Rustling through
long dead leaves
I will let them slip through my fingers
Leave them to rest
As Old Memories should.

actually the flow of the verses are very good they don't jump from point to point; so that is good
