what happened to those shadows?
and if they were lonely
after they protected you
in the  darkness.

XD At first I was confused as to what you meant, but I see now. This is Onus from Code and the Burden Bearing Demon. Well technically this was the brainstorming for that short story, but I found this in my drabble and I had to post it, because it can have other meanings too.
