I had a pretty intense fling with Western Expansion history when I was a kid, and as usual, was more interested in the outlaws than the do-gooder cowboys. The interest has never gone away completely. Not long ago, I downloaded the original soundtrack for FFVII, and for synthesized video game music, Valley of the Fallen Star is fantastic. I started getting ideas right away, but I've been kicking around this particular image for a couple of weeks.

I'm going to hate myself so bad if I ever want to draw these outfits again >_< That's Seph's hat, by the by, he just lets his little card shark wear it most of the time. Zexy's wearing boots of his, too, and not deliberate thigh-highs. I like how Seph's bandoleers worked out - ammo on one strap, materia on the other. In the fertile fields of alternate universes, I figure he's irrefutably Vincent's son in this one, which is why he has one big fuck-off shotgun (adorned with his own feathers, naturally) instead of a sword. Then again, maybe he has his sword, as well, and you just can't see it here. NO ONE CAN SAY.

And that's not a thong; it's fundoshi. I'm developing a very unhealthy fascination with those things. Particularly on Sephiroth. And yeah, Zexy's most likely totally copping a feel.
