Description
SX-70 and Time-Zero, expired in 2004One summer afternoon, I learned my body
like a blind child leaving a walled
school for the first time, stumbling
from cool hallways to a world
dense with scent and sound,

it is the film itself - those blotches are the nature of expired time zero polaroid film. they just happen, random occurrences that are beautiful to behold.

In my opinion those pictures are very similar but also very different..here symmetry is what captures my attention. the light leaks form a sort of grill which brings to the center.
you always manage to communicate.

They are, yes. I took them within minutes of each other. But I find it interesting to note that even for being quite similar if not almost identical, the nature of the film (being expired) has managed to provide them with features that are noticeable enough to distinguish them from each other. Of course there's the butterfly hiding in the other one and a lack of clouds that also set them apart but amazing isn't it? How within minutes, two pictures can be taken that show the same thing yet instead of being exactly the same, they're not?
And you always find the meaning or message even if I wasn't aware of one existing, and then you convey it so beautifully to me in comments.

Life is dynamic...staticism is a condition which can't be
applied talking about nature. This is a great exemple of what
time can do. The same scene, subject, condition look so different
because it's different. They are two different segments of reality
even if at the first sight they could look the same.
I like this aspect..it's so intriguing...I often think about it..
and I always start to travel between emotions and state of minds.
I'm happy if I can give you something...because you do.

this is beautiful! great colors!
silly question, but does the time zero film only work with the sx-70?

Thank you!
No question is ever silly! I have read in Kathleen Carr's Polaroid Manipulations book that you can put Time Zero into a Polaroid camera that takes 600 film. Basically you just modify the cartridge to make it fit into the camera since the only difference between Time Zero and 600 film cartridges are the tabs on the bottom.

I'm glad you're excited! You'll enjoy it!
I think Polaroid film is one experience that everyone should have at least once in their life. But I hope you save and get some film!
And thank you!

yeah, i have a polaroid camera now, and there's film that i want...that time zero stuff, i want it so bad! so you can use the polaroid film in a pinhole? way to many opportunities!
& you're welcome!

that's awesome, I'm glad to hear it! if you manage to get some time zero, you'll love it. only if the pinhole is a pinhole polaroid camera. I wouldn't recommend using just any pinhole camera. but yes, it's entirely possible if you've the right means to achieve the end!
