Rilakkuma Cake tutorial part 2 !-I'd like to note that after I baked it, the surface of the clay actually puffed up. I think maybe some air was trapped inside? However after a few minutes, it returned to its original size

Looks great! And the texture works well for the 'cakeyness' of it, I think. I love the little layer of fruity filling!

I've had air pockets get between layers of clay... causing it to puff after baking, the puffing thing was probably due air, like you said. (If you need confirmation on that.)
I love your tutorial, makes me go want to try my hand at it.
