I am not accepting orders for fan art or fan characters unless the copyright holder's permission is included with the request. Please see my commission info for more details.

Inspired by one of my favorite childhood series, W.i.t.c.h (Will, Irma, Taranee, Cornelia, and Hay Lin). The Heart of Kandrakar was the most difficult part of the piece, as I had to figure out how to keep the pearl and crystal in place while making the wire frame around the Heart look as accurate as possible. I also tried to make the wiring around each of the tear drop beads represent the powers and/or aspects embodied by each of the girls.

Here are some of my other pieces:

Omg, I loved reading W.i.t.c.h Comics when I was a child
The bracelet remembers me of that time :3
I like how the Heart of Kandrakar builds he center and the different wiring represents their powers really well ^^

Niceeee, another fellow fan!
I'm very glad that you like this bracelet and the wiring; it makes me especially happy when fans of a series say that I did a great job on a particular jewelry piece, since sometimes I'm not sure if I represented the characters or elements accurately

Hi, I'm here from !

I've heard of W.i.t.c.h. before but I didn't really follow it when I was younger.  But despite my lack of familiarity with this series, I still like this bracelet you made in honor of it.  It's very feminine and beautiful.  The pearls and jewels dangling from it are really nice; I love how colorful they are, and I like how you made their holders have different designs to represent each girl in the series.  What I like most of all is the big heart charm in the middle.  I adore the pattern on it, and the frame looks so smooth and neat.  I think your bracelet is a wonderful tribute not just to W.i.t.c.h, but also to your fondest childhood memories.

Sorry for the late reply; I've been really jet lagged and out of it these past few days !
Thank you for your wonderful comment, and for appreciating all of this bracelet's details; I'm glad that you like it!

I loved this show so much and I also had the books xd total fangirl. This looks so amazing! A fitting tribute to the series. I just have one suggestion regarding the way you photographed the piece. While the collage is really effective and cool I think that the top 3 photos are a bit too dark, which doesn't allow the little jewels to shine to their full potential. Maybe try with a brighter light source next time?
There's definitely no disputing the beauty of this piece and I would definitely wear it if I had the chance

Same here, I was a huge fan and collected all the available books and comics
Thanks so much! You're right, I should have gone for a brighter light source with the top 3 photos especially. I wasn't using a natural light source here, and these beads definitely look better under natural light - I'll keep that in mind and try to take higher-quality photos with the next ones .

I get the struggle with the light. Natural light just makes everything better unless you have some really expensive, high end spotlight or something.

Agreed, natural light is preferable for most situations, unless you are intentionally going for an artificial look~

Oh my gosh, this is so awesome! W.i.t.c.h was one of my favorite series when I was a kid, haha. This is a really cool interpretation of the Heart and the four elements! The wirework on the gems are so detailed, I love how you incorporated each of the girls' powers in there (hehe, the air spiral on Hay Lin's is really cute).

Thanks so much! & Yay fellow W.i.t.c.h fans!
I haven't done much wiring since making Undertaker's scythe, so I wasn't sure how this one would turn out, but it was fun figuring out how to turn the design into 3D! I'm really glad that you like my interpretation of the Heart and elements!

Are those gemstones? If so, what kind? I would like to get into wirewrapping crafts as well, but I need some information about the materials and technique..

They're Czech glass teardrop beads, 8mm; the colors I used are olivine AB, light blue AB, aquamarine AB, milky pink, and yellow topaz. If you have more/further questions, feel free to ask, and have fun wire wrapping !

Oh cool! Heard about them, but never checked them out before...
Anyway, I've found some in an online shop I frequently visit, I might buy a few next time I shop.
Thanks for your help!

No problem! If you like to plan jewelry pieces weeks to months ahead of when you'll need them, then buying from eBay is the cheapest option for many types of beads and pearls (but not wire!)

Erasmvs In reply to craftsbyblue [2015-12-22 19:06:22 +0000 UTC]

Why not wire?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

craftsbyblue In reply to Erasmvs [2015-12-22 20:14:51 +0000 UTC]

eBay is probably not the cheapest option for wire (though it depends on where you live), you can get it at several online stores or a craft store for much cheaper; also, for wire, you'll need craft wire with gauges to do wire crafting (I bought some other types of wire when I was starting out that couldn't be bent with my tools). I typically use 20, 22, and 24 gauge.

I love how delicate the wire-wrapping around the beads looks, especially around the green one.
That must've been such fiddly work!

craftsbyblue In reply to Hardrockangel [2015-12-21 23:45:10 +0000 UTC]

Thank you! The tears were relatively easy to wrap, compared to the pearl - I used three wires for that one
