Description Freaking deviation can't be a little longer? Ah well.

Journey to the Center of the Earth Book Illustration 1.

A project done for school a long while ago, but only got them back about the last week or so of school. I wanted to be proud of these but none turned out how I hoped, but I learned from that. I did have fun with them, regardless.

Ok, i have to stop an comment on this. At first glance its a very simple design. As you look at it longer, there are all these elements that come into play that really make this a unique and interesting piece. I think you did a great job. I love the raw feel of the inked rock part. The perspective really pops with the two different textures in play here, between the landscape and the subjects. Its nicely thought out. (I think the rope is my favorite part) good work.

Whoaw, good job. I can never get it to look as if the rope (or whatever) actually has any strain on it, but you can. Also, great perspective. I suck at perspective, as you can probably tell.

Haha, I'm sure you're fine! It takes practice, that's all. As for the rope thing, just use a ruler. It gives an illusion of being strained.

Thanks for the comments!
