Drawing 100 Things I Love in Comics 5: Chester Gould's Dick Tracy

This one was a huge challenge as I was working with a very poor reproduction as reference and, more importantly, was trying to reproduce the style of an artist who, over the course of the previous decade, had developed a visual shorthand that is not unlike an extremely complex signature. The end result is not pretty, but I have at least finally finished it.

Recreating a sequence in Limited Collectors' Edition C-40 (DC, 1975) that was reproduced either directly from the original 1945 newspaper strip or the first reprinting of that strip in Harvey's Dick Tracy series.
