Description
There's been a lot of Vector portrait type things loitering on DA so I thought I'd join in...and yes - I am a child of the 80s
Illustrator CS using a lot of shape blends.
It does need to be viewed full sized to appreciate it. SO DO IT!!!

Yes you're right - the stick would more than make up for the loss of everything else.

Making things tricky for me now?
Fortunately I have a very good friend who's supplied me with an excellent Japanese ref page with common phrases.

I like the fact that tou kept it so simply, with the white skin. It brings out the eyes and lips. Very nice work!

Thank you very much!
To be honest, it started out as an easier way to finish it but I love the 80's feel it gave!
hence the title.

Wow it looks like a poster, why not make it a print?
π: 0 β©: 1
CraigJohn In reply to JustJean [2005-12-24 14:10:57 +0000 UTC]
I wasn't sure of the print rules as I illustrated it using someone's dA stock as ref - so I didn't, just in case I was breaking any rules.
I still haven't found out the rules when you've used someone else's stock in your submissions.
(But it's something that I'm planning on having on my wall!)

I've recently moved into a brand new flat and I've not put anything up on the walls yet!
Not that I have much in the way of pictures - and this one would match the decore of the flat - so I really should sort it soon!

What tool for the shine in the lips?
π: 0 β©: 2
CraigJohn In reply to ViperJera [2005-10-26 00:00:44 +0000 UTC]
Actually it was EFFECT > STYLIZE > SCRIBBLE...
Now I'm definitely going to bed

CraigJohn In reply to ViperJera [2005-10-25 23:52:32 +0000 UTC]
Hi
I either used the pencil tool or a made the basic shape that I wanted the shine to be in and used the 'scribble' or 'squiggle' filter in Illustrator (It's called one or the other ) and it filled in the squiggly line but the pencil tool would have done the same thing.
I can't confirm which one I actually used right now by opening the file as I'm off to bed. night
