FF13 has a more...um, believable story line. And it has a 'one', good ending. LR does seem promising. But just seeing how everything changed drastically and in the way they messed with gods and goddesses I just feel like so confused and hard to believe the story now.

I found that good, as you may know Linear means there's always one start, and one ending to every chapter/mission in game. But you CAN  explore in most chapters the area and find cool stuff to do, in chapter 11 (gran pulse i believe) you can waste a lot of time doing extra missions and exploring. Then if you want go back to the story line. Besides, this way you won't get lost like "what should I do now?". And in FF13-2, besides having a single good story they incorporated 5 other endings, and each one sucked, for me. And the main story line is like 5 chapters long, not 13. 

Give it a try , I know you will love ff13
