I mean before meeting Ray in adulthood. (Actually they first met when Alexandra was 10 y.o. peasant girl, and Ray saved her life)
8 years after, when Alexandra was 18 and her brother Nick was 15 they became Military academy cadets (they were from poor peasant family, so military service was the only way for them to get education for free)
Alexandra took part in several battles, but after she married Ray, Sasha became a housewife (and of course, queen of her country). But some time after she had to be soldier again. (And not just soldier - Alexandra will become guerillas` leader, and very good one . But this is another story)
