a photogram? good concept but the image lacks dimension. maybe try using plastic knives like the white ones or clear ones. the plastic will distort the light slightly making them less black and white and more grayscale. the small distortions will make them appear to be somewhat 3 dimensional. you could also burn in the area of the knives. maybe just decrease your time on the exposure.
