It makes so much sense if Tony wings were hurt during afghanistan. That would explain why he maked a flying armor...to support his broken wings...and get stronger and quicker at the same time !
Funny thing: I never could really get in the Wings AU, 'cause of all the impossibilities, like: how do they sleap ? How do they put on clothes ? How do they get into cars ?Β
Yes the concept is cute, the wings gave more ways to describe people emotions and all that but...yeah...practicality^^
