After they get rescued, "I'm sorry, we thought you had been killed, so we got rid of your uniforms back at the base. We also had hired replacements, that is how we were able to form Voltron, that is why we have two new women on the force. On the good side, the base's auto-clothing system scanned your current outfits, and made a new series of your uniforms based on them. You'll have a variety to wear, we just need you to figure out where you are going to sleep each night. I have an idea."

I also like the fact that you put Lotor in an outfit more like his classic uniformΒ from theΒ originalΒ series rather than have him in the full plate armor that he almost never seems to take off in the most recent tv show!
