A commission and companion piece to [link] Poor Peter Parker. His life is nothing but trouble sometimes. Being fought over by Mary Jane Watson, Gwen Stacy, and Felicia Hardy...the Black Cat sure must be rough. I'm sure he and Cyclops can relate in this respect. Poor guys.

Even though I am a huge MJ person I always feel a lot sorry for Betty Brant, sheΒ was his first girlfriend and yet rarely gets a look in.
Oh if you ever do another or these, how about reversing it and either having Captain America, Vision and Nightcrawler fighting over Wanda or Bucky Barnes, Hawkeye and Daredevil fighting over Black Widow?

No in the comics it was Betty Brant, who worked with Peter in the Daily Bugle as J Jonah Jamesonβs secretary.
Peter did admittedly have a slight crush in his high school years for Liz Allan before Betty, who was Flash Thompsonβs girlfriend at the time, but she considered him too nerdy and uninteresting until Β Β he was unmasked whilst sick and fighting Doctor Octopus... fortunately Otto assumed that Peter was just dressed up as Spider-Man since he couldnβt fight, but Liz thought so too and thought Peter was incredibly brave for standing up to Otto and then had a crush on him. By this stage though Peter and Betty were already an item so Liz tended to be more of a romantic rival and figure for a few misunderstandings with Betty (who thought on a couple occasions that Peter was seeing her secretly). The two women even met MJ before Peter did!
Ultimately Liz and Betty both moved on from Peter... Liz met Harry Osborn and they married and had a son, Normie Osborn. Betty meanwhile married first Ned Leeds (who was killed during the Hobgoblin Saga and believed at one point to be the Hobgoblin) and then dated Flash Thompson during his time as Venom.
Gwen then didnβt arrive on the scene until Peters college years, initially disliking him due to his tendency to be evasive and running off to fight crime, but she eventually started to like him, though they were only an item for a short time before her death.

It would be interesting to see if they would put her in the movies and just how much they would change her costume. I have a feeling a lot of fanboys would be disappointed if they had her "zip up" for the big screen debut...too risque for kids and all that.

I think Felicia's only there because Pete's a superhero. As for MJ, She was just a shoe-in that the writers didn't even like. At least Gwen actually HAD chemistry with the friendly neighborhood superhero.

Spidey has less issues than Cyclops, as Gwen Stacy is one of the few people in Comics to be "Very, actually, completely, never coming back, Dead-Dead." So he only has Mary Jane and Black Cat to contend with... And that should be easy enough. Mary gets Peter, Black Cat gets Spider-Man, right?
