Description
There is an ancient tale known by few about a pre-history Earth. Millennia ago a small colony of people thrived along riversides, ruled by a small yet powerful body of politicians. In a manner beyond its time, fair crop taxes had been placed on the people, and in exchange they were able to afford irrigation, woods to built their homes, and clothing to keep warm.Such a utopia could not last long.
Magic was discovered one day by a powerful representative of the people of this civilization. Drawing from his own blood and life-force, while synchronizing with the Earth’s own wavelength, he created a life from the wish for a child, given his wife, Yuh’ka, could not bear one. It wasn’t long before the secret got out, and farmers soon could harvest more for less. The government saw this, and attempted to tax the people further, since they made more for themselves. Outraged by the government’s greed, they rebelled, and refused to pay the tax.
The government countered with a declaration of war.
Soon the Creation spell was passed onto all of the Rebellion compromised of the farmers and peasants. Many creatures now found in our storybooks and fairytales were made for battle- centaurs, angels, demons, elves, faeries…the possibilities were endless. And, as the spell was used more and more, the people became affected by its potent power, their own form changing into a persona of their own personal image.
Somehow the spell was leaked out to the Union, the name the government and its allies took to war with them. Creatures came to their side, and their own figures matched that of kings.
The battles were gory and far from filled with glory for other side. Nothing but hate and determination for ‘equality’ drove the two sides of the combatants onward. Few, led by Yuh’ka, took neither side and instead aimed to help the wounded at any cost- even their life. The war raged on for only the equivalent of six modern months before the Rebellion had been repressed to the very farmhouse where the entire mess has began.
The Creationist Sorcerer whom also lead his people to war knew that slaughter was upon them if he didn’t do anything. With all of the strength he could muster, granted to him by the Earth’s God for his benevolence, his magic traveled to a barren rock planet deep in the outskirts of the Milky Way, far from Earth. The planet transformed into a magic-filled ecosystem, lush and green with vegetation and blue oceans that reflected the pure sky. A massive portal led his followers and any others that felt the oppression from the Union to this new world. The planet was later named after the daughter he created- Beghta.
The creation of such life and love of the new planet left the Creationist Sorcerer weak and unable to fight any further as the last few people made it to sanctuary on the new planet. He was unable to properly close the portal, which only lead to it exploding violently and creating mighty vortexes all over the world. He was unable to go through the gate, and neither Beghta nor Yuh’ka would leave his side. All three were captured and sentenced to death by the Union for high treason.
Even as the Creationist Sorcerer was tied into place to receive his execution, he felt nothing but love for his wife and child, and no regret for the discovery of the spell. The love formed a new spell in his mind. He called out to Yuh’ka in the crowd in their ancient tongue: ‘Will you endure over a hundred-thousand years of suffering for me, my love, so long as we can live once again?’
‘Yes, I will!’ she quickly responded as she kept tight to her daughter.
‘Then we shall live again…’ Speaking sacred words, the spell targeted both his child and his wife. The magic took her soul and body, placing it into the necklace Yuh’ka used for blessing those to die and for healing others that would pull through. The necklace gained the power of portals, and as it fell on Beghta, she disappeared, assumably sent to the haven of the new world.
Left with no magical ability, the Sorcerer could not spare himself the pain of being executed. He prayed, however, and as such he, too, was granted the immortality of new-soul reincarnation like that of his love. It is said that the body was discovered missing only an hour after his body went cold. It, too, had been sent to Beght.
After the war ended, the Union sought to it to eradicate any knowledge of this spell, to make it forbidden for any other humans to access. Their corruption was overthrown in a mass murder, and thus the secret of the new planet and the war fought for it was soon lost. Only a few now gossip of a pre-history world, where magic reigned, and where the mind’s wish could come true…
