This was for the First of December To most, it may seem like another ordinary day, or a day of work, a day of holiday shopping...but in truth, it's more than that. December 1st marks AIDS Awareness Day.

I am very, VERY fortunate to not know anyone that has AIDS. Or have it myself. I've been very, very lucky through my life to grow up in a mainly healthy family. However, that does not mean I ignore such things. It doesn't give me a right to turn a blind eye at all these diseases. And at AAC10, when I saw TwinEnigma setting up charity donation to 'save the boobies', it made me want to do something about it.

Christopher Devereaux is one of my characters, and I think he really symbolizes Remembrance for me. I can't say who exactly Emily is on that tattoo, but all you need to know is she had AIDS. And that really messed with Chris to the point he completely changed as a person. (In Symphoria, he still has the same tattoo, but it is unknown at this point if she died of AIDS or not.)

Sorry it's a bit late...my mom refused to let me finish this somewhat on time when she booted me off the computer yesterday. I'll keep comments on for now, but please be very mindful of the true message of this piece. I know that it's not the best, either art-wise or composition-wise. I know. You don't need to tell me. If I start getting too much flack about it, or if you somehow insist on being a douche, I will not hesitate to turn comments off. I feel that this is a very serious topic.

So...this is for all of you out there, that are missing a loved one. This is for those of you that have had friends or family infected by AIDS, or even of yourself. There may be no cure, but so long as we can fight together for the ones we love- and for ourselves- one day we may be able to cure it. But we cannot give up hope.
