Description
Cybrghst and I just got back from our 9 day backpacking trip in Southern Utah and Northern Arizona. I would have to say that us two Missouri boys know how to tear the Southwest up in 8 days. The trip was an awesome success, we found some amazing locations that have not been photographed to death and we met and made some great new friends and some new connections with the Navajo people who took us on their land and showed us a slot canyon that I can say is truly better then Antelope Canyon which I thought such a place never existed. I will post photos of this in the near future. This photo is Zebra Slot located on the North Side of Escalante, this slot beat me and Mike up!
Image taken with two es stitched together with a 5D and a Canon 24mm Shift Lense, the first image taken with lense shifted all the way up and the second image taken with the lense shifted all the way down then stitched togther in PS with no crop. The end result is a native image of 4928 X 4304 at 300 dpi

i love the repetition in this photograph created by the striations in the canyon walls. I have not made it out to utah yet, but everytime I see a photo like this i am more driven than ever to come off the peaks for a while and drop into the canyons off the western slope. Excellent work!

Thank you,
This particular slot is not often photographed, you might be thinking of Antelope Canyon in Arizona

yeah thats probably it, i like this one better just because its different, all of those photos of that one slot canyon with the sun light rays is nice but just too many photos are taken of it and they all start to look the same. this one is unique

I've heard of Zebra, actually. I've never seen it so well portrayed, however. Love the mixture of detailed shadows and highlights. Looking forward to what else you have to show from the trip!
