LOOK, ORIGINAL ART. It's another random creature thing I made just for the sake of making a picture.This is Nyte! A mischievous cat/raccoon/jester/creature thing by day... who's even more mischievous by night!
I'm going through some kind of mental crisis here trying to find my own style... I look at so many amazing artists' styles and they all have these really distinctive styles, and I get so inspired by all of them! I just want to be one of those artists whose pictures you can look at and say, "WOW, that's so-and-so's art!" ;A;
I also apologize to my new watchers and anyone who's left me any comments! I've got about 700+ messages to sift through at the moment! So while I may not get to respond back, I ALWAYS read EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. THANKS SO MUCH GUYS, I

I know I am commenting late, but I couldn't let this pass without letting you know how much I liked this. This image caught my attention very quickly through the thumbnails in the deviation inbox; you used all the colors very effectively!
What impressed me the most was the "background", which seems to be in a gaseous form sipping of the character. Not only it serves as an excellent background, it also make the character very interesting. Overall, there is a very nice balance in hues! The transition from blue on the top and orange/red on the bottom is excellent, along with hint of texture that completes everything.
Haha I have a friend who is also having a style trouble right now. Her gallery phases through different style almost every time she submit something due to her constant style experimenting and exploration. I think your gallery reflects the same thing, and this is a very good thing. I admire artists who have great sense of experimentation in their artwork. And for you, finding your own style in this process may be only a matter of time, and because they have explored so much, their finalized style probably comes with a great balance.
I believe you have displayed your style here though, and as I expected the result is sweet! You did a good job in multiple areas starting with character design, patterns, and color compositions.
If you still feel like you don't have a distinctive style, that means it's probably in development :b I can already recognize your stuff by the way you pick colors anyway, heheh.

I hope one day I'll have a "style" that I can finally be happy with! I guess as long as I'm learning while I'm experimenting, that's all that matters!

LiiLii I wish You could see what everyone else does, you have a very LiiLii style and everytime I see it I know its you. I think You confuse insperation, and experementing with not have a distinnct pov. But true artist grow all the time , but keep their core (Like you do). Just keep doing what you're doing and you'll see it for yourself. Try going back and looking through your old works and you'll see that crayon-chewer look has been there that far back.

It really makes me think of a Cheshire Cat for the stripes and colours (not sure about the spelling), but in a less scary way. Nyte seems the type of creature that luv to play a trick on people

Nyte is pretty wily... just like the Chesire cat! He definitely gives off that playfully mischievous nature! Watch out! He might steal your left shoe!

I'm having a hard time finding my own style too, I don't know why, but its really hart for me to make 2 pictures with the same style, and everytime I'm trying to draw a pic for someone else/fanart I end up drawing it on their style, or something close... |l|OTL

I think everyone goes through a phase like that at some point. I know I have. Even now I sometimes feel like my stuff comes out looking too generic. I don't know about you, but for me, I think it's just a matter of seeing my own work so often that it sort of loses its luster after a while. But that's why I come here, to draw inspiration from other people and find ways to improve!
That said, this is pretty cool! Nice colors, line work, and the smoke effect is really well drawn, inside and out. Good job!
