the yyktanen created a weapon that as far as any other species in the star cluster knows is there own unique design. the korva weapon is a device that once detonated punctures a small unstable whole into "the abyss" a sub space pocket of total darkness and an amazing amount of chaotic energy. the tear in this pocket unleashes energy streams that ultimately destroy any nearby matter of small size, ships, asteroids, small moons, etc. to date there has only been one account where the korva weapon was detonated on the surface of a world, the moon of the planet Fangon: Polver. it was detonated for unknown reasons and it ultimately erradicated all life on the once lush moon, leaving a dry charred semi habitable environment. because of this this WMD is used only in space as the effects are rather contained and only in times of great peril.

at the same time as korvas are used for war most yyktanen mother ships are powered by th same energy, simply by a different means of extraction. to prevent damage to planetary bodies these ships are never surface side, they remain based when not in battle on a lunar station on vaporen, the moon of the yyktanen home world.
