Description
"Archaeological digs across the sea floor of Primordia have turned up fossils of large, shelled beasts which we have dubbed 'Colossal Shellfiends.' Inquiries about the creature to the archivers of the koru'kra have yielded little to no information. However, they did have a fully preserved exoskeleton, revealing the sheer size of these beasts. Their bodies seem to be completely covered in a hard plating, not unlike the koru'kra and other korusapiens, perhaps making this an ancient ancestor of theirs. Their large, spiked arms were most likely used to grab and hold on to prey, as well as to ward off any predators. Examinations of the mouth reveal that they most likely had multiple, small appendages inside, which would be used to slice away at flesh bit by bit, or to rip off chunks of meat slowly. Their long armored tails acted much like paddles, charging them through the water. It is unknown what could've caused these creatures to die out, but it's speculated that their food source became too scarce to justify the size of these creatures."~ Excerpt from "A Book About Aliens and Cryptids of The Known Heavenly Bodies, Vol. 5" by L. I. Gandrian
