Description
These textures are for the Wild & Messy Hair from DAZ.It includes 9 natural color textures and MAT pose files.
was kind enough to test this out for me.
You can see his results here [link]
He was also kind enough to give me a few pointers on the technical aspects so the new download file has the corrections needed. Thanks Tkrain!
I am working on more for Victoria and Stephanie and those should be coming shortly.

I don't make clothes or hair... those are 3D models, I have the program but haven't figured out how to use it yet. These are just textures for the models other talented people have made. But let me know if you need help with DAZ itself, and there are lots of free things out there for DAZ if you know where to find them.... also I would recommend joining the DAZ Platimun Club, it will save you a ton of money!

The textures in the zip should be extracted to your DAZ contents folder. There are several programs for making 3D models, the one I have is Hexagon 2, I just haven't taken the time to learn the program. I have a new grandson and he takes alot of my time.

Update: I dug into the PZ2 files (they're actually text files, rather easy to read) and edited all the .jpg references to .png... Also noticed that the .pz2 refers to /runtime/textures/cd_hairtextures/naturals while the .zip file has that subdirectory as natural (no s)...

The .PZ2 files should work fine for any of the three versions of the Wild and Messy hair. See my test render using Stephanie Petite...
A few technical notes, however... The directory structure in the ZIP is fairly important... especially for Poser users...
The Mat Pose files should be under Runtime/Libraries/Pose/MAT_WMH Natural/
The actual textures should be under Runtime/textures/CD_Hairtextures/
And... while I am always the one spreading the gospel of .PNG vs. .JPG, Daz converts all PNGs it encounters as textures into JPG's with the same name... and then when you save the Mat PZ2 file, it shows up as .jpg instead of .png... Simply distribute the .JPGs in this case, there's no additional benefit in DAZ or Poser to using .PNGs anyways (they just convert to Jpegs anyways).
These textures look pretty good, btw!

Your test render looks great! Thank you! I didn't know because they are 3 different obj files. And thank you for the advice! I have everything changed and will be editing my files and descritions here at DA, again, thanks so much for your help! Cindy

Yeah, the whole thing can get confusing... 3 different CR2's, 3 different OBJ's. But the key is in the mapping of the textures and the names of the surfaces. A lot of people don't realize that you can use the material settings for the Victoria 3 skins on Stephanie (and actually on David and Michael). All the version 3's use the same unimesh except for Aiko... who actually uses very similar UVs, but the legs are named differently in the surfaces tab... just a matter of editing the diffuse textures manually and I can use all the V3 skins on Aiko too. (and do often, hehe)
