Will be...Big thanks to Mike aka =environaut for letting me tinker with his atmosphere file from The Eye of Shannon
This is actually a mix of a render i made with a modified version of that atmo, and a few other renders.

Did you put a layer over the snow to get the sharpness of the rock and snow or the other way around?

It's rock covered with snow. The final render was sharpened a bit in PS too

aww, thought so. I still struggle with surf map layering. In the fine tuning levels. I think I get to spastic with the controls.
