Description I swear I only drew this for the nickname.

Considering the years after Cheese's baby and toddler stages, this is kind of sad.

Aweeee! So cute!

Lol, don't worry. This isn't nearly as sad as it would be in my headcanon. XDD

BABY CHEESE IS FOREVER CUTE. ALWAYS FAVE THE BABY CHEESE.

Well, I promised myself I wouldn't go into the territory of full-on physical abuse (though emotional abuse would depend on how someone interprets it). Cheese's parents in my 'verse simply fell out of love, with the mom becoming snippier and naggier over the years, while the dad just withdrew himself from not just her, but the little son he played with. He was already pretty distant when Tomato was born.

I dunno, I just have the image of my head of little toddler Cheese crying because Daddy wouldn't play with him anymore. That seemed sad enough to me. XP

Still, Mozzarella and Hay Burger would be pretty darn appalled at Storm and Starlight's treatment of RoryΒ (to say nothing of Tomato, who'd be furious to see the alternate universe version of his big brother being abused like that).

Being ignored is really sad. Poor Cheesy and Tomato! Q__Q

Guess that counts as emotional trauma. Not sure if I'd put that into the emotional abuse category quite yet. Though, when Cheese runs away and his parents put all that pressure on Tommy, that might come close.

Your headcanon's so sweet, at least Cheese has a brother to relate to there. And their interactions are just too cute!

Yeah, their family is an emotional mess. Both parents seemed to have missed the memo that giving children emotional support is a requirement if you want them to grow up happy and healthy. Or, as their mom puts it, "successful". Even worse, their resentment of the situation (and situations at school too) ended up turning Cheese and Tomato against each other for years until Pinkie let them know that it wasn't right (in a way that nearly made things worse, of course).Β

At least they're healing and mending fences. They're a lot better to work with when they're friends instead of enemies.

Cheesaroo made me think of a kangaroo made of cheese.
