So, funny story, I had been following the whole Masters of the Universe: Revelations debacle for some time, even though I hadn't really cared for the franchise but was curious about if it was going to be a trainwreck like most of the other reboots, remakes, sequels, whatever of older stuff. But what really piqued my curiosity was the spoiler of 'Orko's sacrifice' and the surprising uproar that caused, so I decided to look into the little guy and...

Goshdarnit, he hits my sweet spot of cute, funny, and having an interesting backstory (uber powerful wizard on his homeworld, gets flung into another dimension and finds out that magic works differently there, and is now dealing with malfunctioning magic) and potential for interesting stories. I actually started watching episodes of the 80's He-Man (and some of the 200x series) just for Orko. It does kind of annoy me that his interesting aspects are often ignored (whether in show or by people IRL) because of his role as comic relief, which... nothing wrong with being funny, but he's clearly got a lot more to offer.

But anyway, consider me a fan of this little guy.

(As for my opinion on Revelations? Eeeeeyeah... it's like The Legend of Korra for me--it may look pretty and have a few cool scenes, but it left a really bad taste in my mouth. I'll stick to the other series (and maybe my own little continuity in my head lol), thank you...)
