Description I swear I'm that weird person that thinks the concept of the Unnamed One is interesting, but that the story in Classics canon was kind of a let down. Didn't seem like he got to really bare his teeth (metaphorically, of course, Trollans don't show faces). Dude even went out like a chump. -_-

So, I decided to have some fun in my alternate continuity of the MOTU universe. Forgive me for rambling, I had a lot on my mind. XP

Trolla was once a powerful world of some of the universe's most powerful mages, with a group of archmages known as the Overlords ruling the planet, and the most powerful Trollan being a sort of Avatar-like being known as the Oracle. While they were some of the most respected mages of their time, they were also extremely arrogant, thinking themselves higher beings and looking down on others.
When the Horde first popped up and started causing trouble, representatives from each world came together to create the universe's most powerful weapon--a Sword of Power--to defeat this great evil. The Overlords of Trolla and the Oracle were among them, having a large hand in harnessing the magic of the universe and infusing it into the sword. There was so much magic harnessed that the forgers decided to make a second sword--a Sword of Protection. After much deliberation, the sword was bequeathed to a young man who would become known as He-Ro. Of course, the Trollans, being as untrusting as they are of other species, had their Oracle be a guide to the young warrior-wizard, and off they went to fight the Horde.
While the Oracle softened up to not just He-Ro, but all the other beings of the universe and started loving them as he did his own people, and his writings started making other Trollans curious about other worlds... one of the Overlords, Gorpo, was still not 100% behind the whole arrangement. He deliberated on what he should do about it, because after all, they're not purging that stupid Horde fast enough, you can't trust one of those humans to get the job done right, why has the Oracle grown soft... perhaps he himself could bring order to the universe? He only ever discussed it with his wife Edelia, who is very much a Lady Macbeth in this situation and encouraged him to go for it.
So, he did. He came to Eternia (Preternia?) and made a deal with some lowly reptile people to give them more power--infusing strength and magic from other species to create the fearsome Snake Men, who kept their bargain by stealing the Sword and giving it to him, and he let them torment the Preternians while he would go to purge the Horde from the universe.
However, when he went home to show his wife the Sword, the other Overlords confronted him. A heated debate ensued, with threats flown from both sides, until Gorpo performed the forbidden Trollan Face Snatching Spell on his fellow Overlords. The Oracle later came to their home as well, though it was mainly to try to break the news to Edelia about her husband's betrayal; it turned out to be a trap to snatch his Ring Medallion (which had the ability to see past, present, and future, and to become a portal through space), and Gorpo escaped with it before the Oracle could do anything.
With the other Overlords now as soulless husks at his bidding, Gorpo began his campaign to destroy the Horde. Unfortunately, he didn't discriminate between Horde and innocent, and ended up destroying a few planets, causing a few genocides, and stealing a lot of magic along the way. Drunk on power, he quickly became a monster that rivalled the Horde itself, and basically broke the Universe in his campaign.
However, when landing on Eternia to grab the Starseed for more power, the Masters of the Universe of that time were waiting for them, and thus a great battle ensued. He-Ro managed to get his sword back, and the Oracle got his medallion back, but Gorpo was still a tough opponent, and had faceless Trollan mages and the Snake Men in the fight as well. Half the Masters were wiped out, but the Oracle managed to put up a good fight in a one-on-one wizard's duel (depicted above)--though it was mainly a distraction to let He-Ro charge up a powerful banishment spell. It worked, and not only was Gorpo banished, he had his name stripped from him by the Oracle at the last second, becoming the Unnamed One. Sadly, the banishment spell cost He-Ro his life.
With all the other worlds blaming the Trollans as a whole for the destruction, magic laws were rewritten nearly everywhere so that a Trollan could never threaten the universe again--and as an extra measure, their corner of the universe was cut off from the rest. That unfortunately meant that the Oracle was unable to go home and was nearly powerless--though bitter about being punished for someone else's crime and reduced to a mere sage in the woods, he still helped heroes like King Grayskull against the threats of the Horde and the Snake Men.
Trolla itself was not having a good time--civil wars erupted thanks to the power vacuum left by the Overlords' and other leaders' deaths and no sure way to decide who should lead. One faction called the Unnamed Order was started by a vengeful Edelia, who sought to gain the power needed to free her husband and claim the universe. They would turn violent when peace was achieved by the Ringbearer Foosabella's efforts in diplomacy and understanding, and torment Trolla for centuries to come with their Destroying Angel.
And the Unnamed One may be banished, and was threatened to be reduced to mere myth, but he still had enough power to keep contact with the Snake Men, the Unnamed Order, and any soul who listened to the whispers of his crystals... as well as form a mental link with the Unnamed Order's Destroying Angel--his daughter, Rethilsa, and all those that would come after. And he is absolutely planning on his return with the help of one of them, however long it takes...
Wow, I talked a lot for a picture of two Trollans having a Beam-O-War.

I understand if you think it's kind of dumb, coming up with weird crap for Mr. Evil Trollan Overlord and rewriting history a bit, but like I said, it's an alternate continuity where I'm having my stupid fun, and part of my stupid fun is coming up with Trollan lore like the Ringbearers
