On white paper I am a charcoal face
Nose drawn with a thin pencil
Eyes blank, erased
Among smudges of indecision
Shadowing the wrong place
No sense of anatomy
Nor overtones of subtle grace

Scratching sounds surround
Accompanied by dryness
Tangles filling up a space,
Mind going through a phase

Hand moving in a daze,
With an unfocused gaze
A lack in accuracy
Based on security

No depth or motion
Colorless
All is typical and simple:
Lifeless
