Ha ha! You're like me! I like using "common" tools. None of this high fallutin' technical arty stuff like acid free paper and expensive oil paints! Give me a tin of gloss and a house brush any day!! I hate stuffiness more than I hate anything else!!

I always used to dream about being shipwrecked on a desert island. So I was forever imagining what sorts of things i would need to survive! I'm the same every time I get in the car! One of these days I'm going to get caught in a flash flood and swept out to sea. Then all my preparation will have been worth it! Lol! Perhaps I shouldn't tempt fate!!

I use to have a room mate that belonged to the Marines...and they'd go off once in awhile and do survival training.. they'd get dropped off in a forest with only a knife for a week end...I always thought it would be cool to learn to do this....btw...have you ever seen the show Survivorman?

My youngest son is mad on the subject of survival. Probably the least cautious individual I've ever met! Tell him it might not be a good idea to eat an unknown berry on a walk and he's the first to give it a try! He try anything for a dare! A very dangerous individual really! His older brother is the complete opposite!!!
Never seen Survivorman! The name rings a bell! We get lots of survival programmes with a guy called Ray Mears (BBC)! He so doesn't look like the sort of guy who could survive in the wild, but watch a couple of his programmes and you begin to really respect him!
