Introduction
Buddle. Noun: A fat, Praying Mantis-like creature that's adorned with (and functions) like a flower. Depending on which flower and which environment they live in, their body, markings, and mating rituals will differ to suit their surroundings.

Buddle Break Down
- Pollen is stored on/in antennae on their head.
- Eyes are always closed. Their eyes are sensitive. They resemble a fly's eye.
- Ears are made out of exoskeleton-like material and are therefore non-flexible.
- A hard, curved beak protects 50 sharp teeth hidden in its mouth/early throat.
- Claws are used to forage and protect themselves.
- Nectar in their stomach contains seeds for reproduction.
- Their body on the inside is fat and squishy, yet they have a harder exo-skeleton around most of their body.
- Their feet are small and agile, allowing for easy movement from petal to petal (leaf to leaf).
- All buds blossom into flowers when mature.

Daily Life
Diet
A Buddles' diet consists of seeds, roots, flower petals and fruit, of course! They spend many hours of the day foraging and hunting for the occasional fly.
Social Habits
Most Buddles spend their time with their mates, except the 3 months when they aren't taking care of their mate. All Buddles are rather hostile towards other Buddles, especially when it is mating season. Although hostile, most ignore it and eventually become friends.

Reproduction
Courtship
To attract a female, male Buddles' flowers are large and usually flashy. Their claws enlarge to use in battles against other Buddles to claim a mate. Once they have claimed a mate, the male protects and breeds with their female until birth.
Pollination
To create offspring, a female (when mature) will let her flowers on her back bloom. The male then rubs his antennae into the flowers and lets her rest. From then on she is impregnated.
Seeds
As the seeds inside the female's belly mature, the nectar thickens and hardens on the outside to protect them throughout development. Seeds are laid out of a canal near the tail. Females may only hatch up to 4 seedlings.

Growth and Development
1) Seed: These are kept inside the nectar in the stomach.
2) Seedling: A newly hatched seed. Their claws and teeth are not developed, yet there is an early sign of buds.
3) Grub: Finally out of its shell, a grublings' features will start developing. Their buds start growing in fully and their nectar bellies form. The pollen glands still have not formed on their antennae.
4) Adolescent: These Buddles are ready to become full adults. Their flowers bloom as soon as they are ready to mate.
