I have dyshidrotic eczema and unlike other eczemas, this stuff gets worse in the summer.

While no one in my family has eczema, my father has some immune problems so I guess that could be tied together.

Eczema or not, kitty claws on skin hurts. uch:

Oww. You said you lived in Florida, so... [Cringes]. Do any topical treatments help?

And agreed! I've had several people approach me asking if I own a kitten just by looking at my hands.

Actually, I'm almost all cleared up now! My dermatologist put me on high doses of Prednisone, an oral steroid, and a topical cream as well and it seems to really working.

They're not sure, But it's believed to have some sort of link to the immune system, like allergies and asthma. So it's just me. Not contagious or anything.
