Dude, I'm totally gonna try this with a 5 yen coin and copper wire, but maybe a little on the steam-punk side because of the gear in the middle. Great idea, I always wanted to make jewelry out of coins but I couldn't figure out how to mount them without putting holes in them, using coins with holes already in them is perfect.

Scratch that, I'm gonna buy some Chinese I-Ching coins, they're cooler looking, lmao, that sounded toolish.

oooh japanese money has a hole too in the middle? I thought only norwegians are so strange

Just the 50 yen and 5 yen have holes in the center. Each Japanese coin is different in size or has a hole so that they are easily distinguishable from one another for the blind. The piece used here is a 50 yen piece.

Hmm! Yeah I know that its a rule for them to have different shapes: Its worldwide. Every county has different shapes per coin-type but it's really rare to have a hole on them
I have seen only Norwegian Korone and now Japanese Yen like this. nice to know. Arigatou

Danish also have holes in some coins. Looks kind of like the norwegian 1's and 5's.
