Description
A surprise drawing for Jenny-Jen that went with the original drawing of this:I planned to do this since she asked me to send the other drawing.
I also really wanted to do a 3x23 tribute drawing. =^w^=
3 and 23 were rummaging through a box filled with scrap fabrics, ribbons, and strings.
As 23 threw a piece of string out of the way, one landed on 3.
As for fun, he threw a price of string at her.
Thus began a new game: String Fling! Fantastic name right? (Sarcasm.)
After a long time of running a throwing, the two decide to rest.
3 took a long red string and tied one end to his pinky, and the other end to 23's.
As they looked at each other, they started to laugh at their new, string-covered appearances... The End.
I'm not the best of story tellers, I'm afraid. ^w^;
I thought it was a cute idea, considering they are not the lovey-dovey type of couple.
"More of a play-wrestling, dumping-each-other-in-ink, accidentally-setting-each-other-on-fire sort of couple.", as quoted by Jenny-Jen in this picture's description: [link]
Still makes me chuckle. =^w^=
(The red string of fate is an East Asian belief from Chinese legend and is also used in Japanese legend.
According to this myth, the gods tie an invisible red string around the ankles of men and women who are destined to be soul mates and will one day marry each other.
Often, in Japanese culture, it is thought to be tied around the pinky.)
3, Stitchpunks, and "9" belong to Shane Acker
23 belongs Jenny-Jen
Art Above belongs to MirrorStarLock (Me)

*SUPER-SONIC SQUEAL*
... You know what's funny? I didn't even realise you'd drawn this until you uploaded it here It got stuck on the cardboard insert in the envelope and I didn't know you had included it with the other drawing
But now I have it and it is ADORABLE! I can't believe how much detail you put into this! All that work on the fabric fibres and laces, and the Stitchpunk mechanics which are famously difficult to do *~* 3's pose in particular is really amazing. I love how you have his thumb-tail doubled up under him as he sits XD They look like they're having a lot of fun and are so in character! That quote just summarises them perfectly
And I just d'awwwwed at the explanation of the red thread. It just seems like that kind of thing 3 would subconsciously know about ^______________^ I'm very tempted to colour this when I get some down-time in my work, with your permission of course. Thank you so much!!!

LOL. That is funny.
Well, now it definitely became a surprise drawing! =^w^=
I'm extra glad you like it so much.
I agree. Their mechanics ARE difficult to draw...
Oh that would be fantastic!
You are more than welcome to color it. =^w^=
(I'm not that good at coloring, and the program I use makes all the colors too vibrant...)
You're welcome. =^w^=
