fantastic work. I think with colouring, a lot of hard work can go un-noticed even though that is what makes the difference between an average and great colouring job. those little details that don't really catch the eye (because they're not meant to), but which make the picture work and seem 'real'. this is a special work in an impressive gallery.

personally I think inking is more under-appreciated
people always seem to go for a coloured picture over anything else so even a crappy inked picture will be praised if it's coloured well over a just black and white picture with amazing quality inks

you may be right. pencils will always be appreciated because that is the starting point. Colours look awesome as well as being the 'end point' in the whole process. but yeah, inks can get lost in the middle somewhere. though inked pencils are more striking than pencils alone. and of course there is that misconception that inking is 'easy'.
