Description The face of evil.

After a long time of keeping his identity secret, I finally present to you Ivonne's boss, Ripclaw, a gigantic wolverine.

Yep, Ripclaw is a wolverine, and as you know, wolverine's are pretty darn vicious animals. Those "spikes" on him is really just hair made to look thatway.

Now you see why Ivonne fears him?

Ripclaw is the boss of the organization Ivonne works at. He's a dark brown wolverine with black paws and feet and a patch of black around his chest. He wears a dark grey trenchcoat and pants.
Ripclaw'sreal name and backstory before he turnedto crime is unknown. He once worked as a lackey in a criminal organization and was known for his bad temper and vicious personality. It was that temper that actually caused Ripclaw to lose his right hand in an unknown "incident." The loss of his hand taught Ripclaw a valuable lesson: Power without control is useless and weak. He had his hand replaced with a metal one, though not as powerful as the one he possesses now. Ripclaw learned to somewhat control his temper and soon became a cold, calculating, and manipulative criminal. He learned how to control and direct from behind the scenes and was soon turning the tables on those he worked for. Little by little Ripclaw worked his way up and soon became the boss of the organization he once worked for. He began to recruit others into it...sometimes by force. He also had the technical geniuses who worked there, make him a bigger, more powerful metal claw.

Ripclaw is an intelligent criminal mastermind who works behind the scenes. He mostly sends out his agents to do his work. He is like a puppetmaster, controlling events from the shadows. He speaks in a deep, calm yet threatning voice. His temperment can be quite calm, which makes him even more unsettling to be around. Lately though, Ripclaw has been struggling more and more to keep his inner rage under control and may be slowly losing his sanity from holding in his rage for so long. Recently, he's been developing a plan to shut down Petropolis' technology, which would enable him to seize control. However, beneath that lies an even sinister plan in which he will even turn against his own agents.

Wanting to keep suspicion of him and his agents activities, Ripclaw formed an "alliance" with D.O.O.M., having his agents work with Snaptrap's agents. Unknown to DOOM, though, Ripclaw would end up double crossing them once the plan was put into action. Ripclaw is certain that nothing can ruin his chances of seizing control of Petropolis and later, the world. There was one thing he didn't count on though...that one of his top agents, Ivonne the female opossum, would end up falling in love with a DOOM agent...Ollie the British opossum, and would eventually reveal the plan to him.

Also unknown to Ripclaw, is that a few of his agents have formed a resistance against him, after hearing of his planned betrayal of them as well as the majority of them were actually forced against their will to work for him. They also realize that Ripclaw's genius is slowly turning into insanity and soon the organization will be safe for no one.

Ripclaw's main weapon of choice is, of course, his metallic claw, which can crush almost anything. It also has a built in blaster hidden inside. His normal claw is just as powerful and lethal. Ripclaw will often have his minions do the beating, but when he gets angry...Yikes. When he really gets serious about fighting, he'll cast off his trenchcoat and charge at his victim on all fours, like a feral wolverine. The logo you see next to him here is what's on his belt. A Capital letter "R" with three slash marks behind it...his "signature".

Whew. So now you finally know what Ripclaw is and what he looks like.

Seems like a fun guy, huh?

Ripclaw (c) Me.

This is what Dr Claw from Inspector Gadget would look like as an animal.

Wow! The notorious Ripclaw at last! He looks really evil! Something about him reminds me of Professor Padraic Ratigan form the Great Mouse Detective. Both are usually calm on the outside, get real scary when they're angry, constantly hold in their rage, and both are really, really, bad. Overall, he's an awesome villain.

Yep, in all his evil glory. No wonder Ivonne fears him.

You actually described him perfectly. It's only a matter of time before he completely snaps.O_o

Hmmm. Since he looks like Scar from "The Lion King," I think Jeremy Irons would be a great candidate for Ripclaw's voice actor.

I mean, listen to this, and tell me it doesn't sound perfect for Ripclaw [link]

Interesting. So that's what a wolverine looks like: a cross between a wolf and a bear. But MUCH smaller.

Holy smokes! He looks like Scar from "The Lion King" on steroids, AND has a metallic hand!
And, you're right. The show DOES need at least one serious bad guy. So far, the first villain that was ACTUALLY cold-hearted was Jack Rabbit, but even HE had his LOL moments on his debut episode.
So, I've come up with an OC villain named General Guar. He's the TRUE leader of DOOM, and has a little history with Kitty's father (who is dead in MY TUFF universe).

Great job! Ripclaw looks VERY menacing!

Well, the show is just going into its second season and has a third one planned too...maybe we will see a serious villain. Your OC sounds interesting.

Thank you!

TUFFAgentShepherd In reply to Creative-Dreamr [2012-04-07 09:52:23 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, despite being a more serious villain, Guar does fit into the humor of TUFF Puppy. Like when he threatens his soldiers to get him a bagel with cream cheese, or wanting to make sure his Doomsday cannon is in the right positioning. He also gets caught at odd times, whether he's watching the Quacky Duck show, or he's in the shower! All in all, Guar's a more serious bad guy, but is still pretty funny.
I'll make a bio for him, AND Kitty's father pretty soon.

You're welcome!

Unlike snpTrap this guy is focused, has a brilliant plan, and is intimidating.
I know the show goes so much for humor: but it has me in no way believing any of the bad guys (except the Chameleon) could be a threat to TUFF and Petropolis. Again: why does Ollie follow Snaptrap if he's smart enough to realize virtually of his plans are petty an stupid!!? XD
Good reveal there. He indeed is menacing an a subject of fear. I frankly have been thinking lately TUFF could use more serious toned villains. It just works better IMO.

I've also thought that TUFF Puppy needs at least one serious villain. Darkwing Duck had Negaduck and Taurua Bulba, and Danny Phantom had Vlad Masters/Plasmius(Course I never really watched DP). Ripclaw could eat Snaptrap for lunch.XD
I'm still waiting to see if we'll ever learn why Ollie continues to follow Snaptrap and why someone like him is a criminal in the first place. I can't help but think what if he was really related to royalty or some upperclass family and just rebeled for some reason? Or what if he was actually a good agent who once worked for BUFF?(I think way too much some times XD). Well, we still have the second and third seasons so you'll never know what will pop up.
Thanks! It took me a long time to finally come up with a design I liked. That's really the main reason I kept his identity a secret for some time.XD

shinragod In reply to Creative-Dreamr [2012-04-06 07:19:17 +0000 UTC]

I still believe that too. Which is why I created General Blitz: who actually has a back story with TUFF I need to explain sometime.
Your line of thinking behind SnapTrap proves that we as the fans should really be the writers for this show. Either they're slowly going into character development at a sloth's pace or they're just wasting too many opportunities to make this show better than what it is. Cause as dedicated a fan I am (generally since the fanbase is makin Lady Malmsteen a rising OC star) I really feel TUFF Puppy could expand way more on its characters.
And the identity was well worth hiding. He's real ferocious up close. ;D

Well, I'm glad you're a pretty dedicated fan, cause you make awesome TUFF art, and we wouldn't have awesome OC's like Malmsteen and Lizzy McDinga.. Yeah, I think the show could expand too...well, I keep hoping we'll see something in the future.
Still I love the show, mostly cause I love comedy and the whole talking animal genre. I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to cartoons.
Thank you. I'm glad I didn't dissapoint.
