Custom Megaman themed Nintendo NES commission.
Lightbox using LED strip light additions.
Enamel gloss paint.
Total Time: Around 10 hours

For this commission I wanted to take Megaman and create a 3D effect while still having the main image be 2D so that I could use LEDs.
I printed out the dark outlines of the image first and placed them over the final color image to help it pop more.
Using a Dremel tool I cut the plastic from the top shell in the shape of the image and using that excess plastic created the shards that are placed around the image giving it the effect that Megaman is bursting from the console itself.
The side windows mimic the yellow panel on Megaman's Megabuster.
The rest of the console is painted to give the aesthetic that the console itself has exploded!
