Description
Duocoon is the genus name of this creature. Duocoons tend to be nocturnal as they blend into the night sky, with their dark purple to dark black blue pelt.

The plume:The reddish yellow plume has many functions such as sensing thermal heat, and receiving pheromones from others of its genus. The plume is also used for communications, as it glows like that of a squid, or flashes like a firefly.

Breeding: They can breed with its sub specie, but like mules and hinnies the hybrid will not be fertile.

Males go through rut and fight with others so they can display their strength to the females, and breed... well if they won that is.

Diet:Mostly carnivorous, but will eat plants if necessary.

Life span: 300 years, (Most have a hard time reaching this age because of poaching)

Male and female differences:

Male Duocoons have longer tusks where as females have longer tails and are somewhat smaller.
