This famous quote suits the photographer's work very well. The use of a single flower upon a dark crisp background is all one needs to make this eye catching. I also think the lighting upon the flower gives just the right amount of impact on this image. The flower is the first thing that caught my eye in this image. Meaning the importance of the artist's work is what shows immediately to the viewer. Once the viewer as read the Thoreau quote it's all pulled together beautifully. A beautiful created piece with just the right emotional impact from a single floral subject.
