I know this word is very offensive, but I wanted to create to vent and let it out of my damn chest because growing up people who used to call me retarded when I was a kid. Especially with my mother because I sometimes forget things or make mistakes. She expected me to know everything and to be a mind reader. Sure I never got straight As and did not know how to socialize with other people, but I had honor rolls, was students of the month back in elementary, and after graduating college I meant it to the Dean's List.

When I was in college, people did not see me that way, not even at work. They all saw me as a very smart, creative, bold and funny person. People in college got to know the real me instead of judging me on the outside. It made me wonder when the hell people get this idea that I am retarded. I know am not the only one. Yet of some fucking reason students who thought I was dumb, ask me what the answers to the homework are.

Oh, I am sorry I thought I was stupid, what happen? Usually you go for the smart person for answers.

Stop calling your children retarded whether they're a disabled. You can't expect your kid to know every fucking thing in life. Just because you don't know everything does not mean you're dumb and just because you are smart does not mean you are know-it-all. Learn that some people think differently from others. Learn that children and adults make mistakes all the time. Hell, I am fucking 24 years old and I made mistakes all the time, but I learn from it because we are fucking human, we all have flaws. Stop expecting your kids to be perfect just because they are different.

If you are someone who had used to be made fun out before or called a name, I am really sorry I know what is like to be made fun of. No one deserved to be treated like shit. I just want to post this to vent because I have been feeling iffy all day today and needed to let it out.
