The magic key is too large to fit in the locking mechanism of the magic handcuffs.
A booming voice says "The occupant of the lamp was incarcerated in the lamp for a good reason. The handcuffs are an additional safeguard. Do not tamper with them again." The voice changes languages and speaks for what seems like hours upon hours. Finally the voice falls silent.
