Backstory!!

When he was a colt, him and his family couldn't afford party decorations, or anything for a party. But he was once invited to another filly's birthday party, but because of his sharp horn, he popped the party balloons which scared him and everyone. Everyone was upset, and kicked him out. And as time went on, he avoided parties and people. Until he got older and moved and made new friends, he was eventually invited to one of their birthdays. He didn't want to go due to his fear of humiliation, but went anyways because it was their friends. At the party, everything was going well, until he accidentally popped a balloon, which he used magic in reflex. Which caused a beautiful display of confetti coming out of the balloon. Everyone stared, and he was scared, but. They started clapping, they wanted to see more. And that's when he earned his cutiemark, by becoming a Entertainer at parties!
